In this new ’Five on Friday’ series created in collaboration with Sleeper Magazine’s editorial team, we have selected five front desks from locations across the globe that strike the perfect balance between forward-thinking design and contextual sensitivity though their various shapes, sizes and formations.

This routine and often overlooked area is the portal that every guest must pass through before retiring to their rooms after a lengthy day of travel. Practical considerations are as important as aesthetics. Do they provide enough space for guests to complete paperwork comfortably? Where can computer cables, staplers and other sundries be stored away from view? Is the height right?
