Mezzanine floors or levels, are known as a “low storey between two others in a building, typically between the ground and first floors“.
When drafting a hospitality design project, architects and interior designers inevitably think about two things: the different parts and peculiarities of the design itself, and the way visitors wil experience it.
Colour schemes, lighting, materials and shapes can be perceived in drastically different ways depending on the perspective that guests embody. Mezzanine floors incorporate a whole new dimension to designs; the people who walk through it get the chance to appreciate the same architecture the’ve seen at thr ground floor through completely new eyes. Its almost like getting to see the floor plans of the interior designers themselves!
However, not all mezzanines are taken advantage of equally. Today we’ve selected five projects that maximised the angles and field of view that these wonderful structures offer.
