Top 5 Locke Hotels’ visual compositions

Stepping into the world of LOCKE hotels, we became more and more drawn to explore their cohesive unique aesthetic that their designs delicately render.

How do these washed-out pastel colours appear to be so bold? Just like an artist arranges objects before painting them, every element selected for these spaces are placed in a highly aware manner.

Comparable to Giorgio Morandi’s virtuous Still Lifes, these muted tranquil objects are so brilliantly arranged that their presence ends up having an entirely different feel to it.

When  squinting our eyes at  some of these designs, soft-hued elements acquire a bidimensional quality to them. Curves and lines suddenly divide our visual field – or should I say canvas?- into blocks of colour. New shapes are revealed, leaving the objects themselves aside for a short but beautiful second.
