This week, at Sleepifier, we’ve been firmly stuck on stucco. More specifically, the gypsum plaster kind that enhances the decorative appeal of intramural spaces, from wall panels and door borders all the way over to window frames.
Some hospitality specifiers have salvaged the ornate moulding of existing architecture with the help of modern conservation techniques, whilst others have reappropriated the traditional craft with an array of geometric botanicals in bold hues.
Cornices and valance boards, architraves and ceiling roses; stucco elements won’t just add depth and texture to minimalist schemes but serve to amplify the intricacy of maximalist interiors too. Here are five of the very best examples of relief plaster our archives have to offer…
