“The separation between the man and its surroundings is not a total separation, however, but an ambiguous form of relationship, where what is looked at is reconstructed from memories, requests, own and other people’s nostalgia, which sometimes refer to very long periods of human sensibility, other ephemeral fashions.”
-Graciela Silvestri
The primitive hutas an architectural concept that explores the origins of architecture and its practice. It is rooted in the idea that the relationship between man and nature is the essence of the way we design our contemporary shelter. That relationship itself has shifted through different eras, transforming the way our habitats are designed. Post-modern architecture allows nature to permeate our intimate spaces extensively, creating a new landscape, a hybrid space. We want to bring nature inside, instead of being exclusively sheltered from it.
Today we selected five projects that brought interiors to life by incorporating a new type of forest inside, developing a unique physical sensation between guests and folliage.
